New Library Location

Alumni who graduated before 1996 will be very pleased with our beautiful new Library which opened inDecember of 1995. The new Library is graced with a light filled atrium, several lounge seating areas withoutstanding views, and a gourmet coffee machine. The Library Addition, a separate four story buildingcreated by the Albany architectural firm of Einhorn, Yaffee, and Prescott, is still accessed through theoriginal Weiskotten Hall at 766 Irving Avenue. From the Weiskotten courtyard at the intersection of Irvingand Waverly, use the "South" entrance, on the left hand side and follow signs to the Library.Detailed information on parking, driving directions, etc., can be found at the Library Home Page.

The Library is open seven days a week. Call 315-464-4580 for a recorded message with holiday hours andother changes.

Use of Library Materials

Alumni, visitors, and the general public are welcome to use books, journals and other resources on the premises. Photocopy machines are available (nocoin machines * bring single dollar bills to purchase copy cards). In additionto our current professional books and journals, there is an up to date collectionof consumer health books, newsletters, and videos in the Library's HealthInformation Center, and a growing collection of books, journals, artifacts,and archival materials in our History of Medicine department.

Borrowing

Health practitioners are eligible to apply for professional courtesy cards at the Library CirculationDesk. These cards allow borrowing from the Library's circulating book collections.

Computers

In the first floor Reference area, computers are available to any Libraryvisitor for health related research, and a reference librarian is on dutyto assist you. Laser printing is available with purchase of copy cards.
