On My Own Time Art Show on Display Now

On My Own Time employee art show began it's run Wednesday May 15th in the Cafeteria at Community Campus. From there it will be on display in the Health Sciences Library before moving again to the Cancer Center Gallery.

On My Own Time was initiated in 1974 by CNY Arts (then the Cultural Resources Council) in cooperation with the Everson Museum of Art to help local businesses identify, celebrate, and promote creativity among their employees. It's a wonderful way for the business community to show their support of local arts and culture!

Over the years, this program has exhibited the works of thousands of Central New York workers, who are amateur artists on their own time, creating countless rewards for the employees and their sponsoring companies.

On My Own Time‘s popularity and success has spread across the country, to cities where it has been replicated, name and all. On My Own Time is a program that makes artistic talents that might otherwise go unnoticed visible. It recognizes a most precious gift – creativity.
