Document Delivery
Our Document Delivery Department, will order materials (articles, books, videos, and more) from other libraries, when our library doesn't have what you need. To use this service, you must be an Upstate affiliate (student, faculty, staff, resident, volunteer faculty). If you are an Upstate affiliate you can obtain articles that our library does not own from another library via document delivery.

The Form is Filled-in Automatically
If you would like citation information to be transferred directly to the request form, you must first look up the citation in either PubMed Single Citation Matcher or the Citation Linker on the A-Z list:
- Locate citation using one of the above citation search tools.
- When the citation is displayed, click on the "Upstate Medical University Check Library Holdings" icon below the abstract.
- On the "Search Results" page that is generated, select the link below "Additional Resources" that says "Use request form thatis pre-filled with the above citation." The link will take you to the logon page for the document delivery system. When youlog in, the "Journal Article Request" form will display, pre-populated with the citation information for the article you arerequesting.
In addition, clicking on the Article Linker icon from any database will generate a web page that links to the documentdelivery loan system.
Retrieving an Article
Upon being notified that an article is available for retrieval, log on to the system and click on "Retrieve Your Article(s)" in order to be taken to a location from where the articles (in PDF format) may be downloaded.
