The Library Building
The Health Sciences Library moved to its new quarters, the Library Additionto Weiskotten Hall, in December 1995. The four story building, comprising 70,000total square feet (48,000 square feet of usable net floor space), was designedby Einhorn, Yaffe, and Prescott of Albany, New York. Features of the buildinginclude an atrium entrance, moveable compact shelving, and built-in networkaccess on every floor.
Library Policies
The primary clientele of the Health Sciences Library are the students, facultyand staff at Upstate Medical University. However, most areas of the Libraryare open to students from other institutions and to members of the public, whomay use its resources on site.
