Library Delivery Service
This service is intended to make it easier for customers to obtain physical items from the
Health Sciences Library (HSL). It includes items that are both owned and not owned by the HSL.

Eligibility
Faculty and Staff
Upon signing up for this service, faculty and staff have the option of either pickup or delivery*.The selection of either pickup or delivery will be applied to all future requests. This option can be changed at any time by contacting the Document Delivery department.

Pickup
Items will be held at the Library Service Desk for pickup.

Delivery*
Items will be mailed to the preferred on-campus address. It is the responsibility of the customer to make sure that the item is returned to the library. Unfortunately, items ordered from another library that have a short loan period are not eligible inter-campus mail.
Students
Items will be held at the library circulation desk for pickup.Volunteer Faculty and Emeritus Faculty
Upon signing up for this service, emeritus and volunteer faculy have the option of either pickup or delivery*.The selection of either pickup or delivery will be applied to all future requests. This option can be changed at any time by contacting the Document Delivery department.

Pickup
Items will be held at the Library Service Desk for pickup.

Delivery*
Items will be mailed to the preferred on-campus address. It is the responsibility of the customer to make sure that the item is returned to the library. Unfortunately, items ordered from another library that have a short loan period are not eligible inter-campus mail.
Items That Are Not Picked Up
Items that have been held at the Library Service Desk and do not get picked up within 3 business days (Monday through Friday) will be re-shelved or returned to the lending library. If the item was not owned by the HSL the customer may be charged a $20 processing fee.Items That Are Overdue
Items that have not been received by the library within 9 days of the due date will be considered overdue and result in a $20 processing fee.Replacement Costs
Customers are financially responsible for the full replacement cost (plus a processing fee) of any item that is not returned to the library.Mailing Exceptions
Please be aware that is at the discretion of the HSL to determine whether or not a particular item qualifies to be mailed or leave the library (i.e., over sized, rare, or expensive items).
* In order to qualify for on-campus delivery, customers must have an on-campus address.
